How To Pick The Right Product For Your Natural Hair

Hello ladies!

Summer is coming and our hair, just like our skin, needs the right care. I bet you have wondered at least 100 times in your life what is the right product for your hair. I also bet that for most of your life you have chosen a shampoo based only on your scent- Mmm coconut? I guess it'll be fine.

Or you just wondered how I even know if it’s good for my hair when no one has ever told me.

Now is the time to give you brief guidelines that will shorten your journey to finding the right care for your hair. Also, we dedicated 'a whole department' just for perfect care for your hair type. Let's find out what matches you HERE.

FIRST OF ALL

It would be good to know your hair type. When I say hair type I don't just mean the look of the hair (whether it is curly or straight) but also its texture, porosity, and so on. Hair texture determines your hair’s sensitivity to heat and chemical processes. And if you have finer hair, heavy products can weigh your hair down. Knowing your hair type is a good start for good hair care. It will help you to treat your hair right. Of course, it's logical- you won't use shampoo for curly hair if you have straight hair.

SECOND

Porosity.

The porosity of your hair explains how your hair retains moisture. So when you find out what your hair porosity is like you will know what kind of products you need. Guess you're wondering now and asking yourself 'How to find out the porosity of my hair? It's simple. Just watch how your hair reacts to water. If it sucks in water very fast and then it's very dry all of the sudden? That's the sign of high porosity. The sign of low porosity is when your hair takes forever to absorb the water. So, just 'listen' to your hair.

THIRD

Density refers to the number of strands on your head. That’s when someone says she has ‘thick’ and she has ‘sparse’ hair. But you can have coarse hair, low density, and high porosity, or sparse hair high density, and low porosity- it's logical that every of these 2 needs different hair care.

FOURTH

Pay attention to ingredients. Don't just buy something because it has a cute design. Also, you should pay attention to the first 5 ingredients because they are the 'main' ingredients.

FIFTH

Read and learn. Be an educated consumer. Find out which ingredient is most powerful for your hair and look for products that contain that ingredient.

AND FOR THE END

Test it! Use some certain product for a while and then write down all benefits you've noticed or something you didn't like about that product. That's the best way to choose the right product!

Hope we've helped you! #W2NaturalsTeam
